These Packstations, strategically located in central areas of cities, allow customers to drop off and pick up packages at their convenience. However, a recurring issue dampens this convenience: the uncertainty of finding an empty slot at the Packstation. Imagine driving to a Packstation only to find it fully occupied, forcing you to search for another one. This scenario not only wastes time but also causes frustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_it_currently_does_not_work\"><\/span>Why it currently does not work<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Only some DHL Packstations indicate the level of occupancy, and it can&#8217;t be correct. But why is that? Updating the main image for each packstation on the fly within minutes is technically not possible. In a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/business\/thread\/1859648\/how-long-does-it-take-for-my-profile-photo-to-change-on-my-business-profile-photo?hl=en\">Google Forum thread<\/a>, it&#8217;s clearly stated that Google takes up to 4 &#8211; 5 hours until a profile image on Google Maps is updated. Businesses leverage this feature to provide real-time information and engage more effectively with their audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Proposed_Solution_Real-Time_Updates_on_Google_Maps\"><\/span>Proposed Solution: Real-Time Updates on Google Maps<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To address the slot availability issue at DHL Packstations, I propose that DHL utilize Google Posts to provide regular status updates on empty slots. By integrating this solution into their Google Business Profile, DHL can inform customers in real-time about the availability of slots at their nearest Packstations.
